Status in contacts list

I have had to reinstall my PC and have now downloaded Windows Live Messenger 8.5 with A-Patch 1.40.

I remember before that I used to be able to see the status of each contact directly next to their name on the main contact list. e.g. away, idle, busy. Now all I see is their personal message.

It is the same WLM that I had before, but I think A-Patch is slightly newere than the one I had before the reinstall. Is there a way to get this status back next to the contact names?

The status is back in the new WLM.

hej...sorry which version do you mean? have I install WLM2009 to see the status??
